Posted on February 24th, 2010Scott Grade School in North Portland needs volunteers in the month of March for several short sessions to read the OAKS State Math test to Scott students grades 3 through 8. All you have to do is read aloud the written words you see on a computer screen (this is done as children are being tested on their math ability not their reading ability). Please help by contacting Terri Schumacher via email tschumac@pps.k12.or.us or calling her at 503.916.6369 ext 72341, to sign up for one or more sessions. If you can’t help, please pass this along to friends and/or family members. Notice of Remand Proceeding for T3-07-004 Reeder Beach RV Park
Posted on February 14th, 2010The Land Use Board of Appeal ordered Multnomah County to reconsider part of its nonconforming use determination regarding the application to expand Reeder Beach RV Park. The county is conducting such reconsideration through this remand proceeding.
Written comment must be received by fax, email or postal mail by: Thursday, March 4, 2010, at 4:00 p.m.

T4-08-001 – Fry – Rocky Point Marina Decision

New Oregon boating rules now in effect
Posted on February 12th, 2010The Oregon State Marine Board has postings for new regulations affecting recreational boaters. All Oregon boaters 12 and older must now carry a boater education card when operating powerboats greater than 10 horsepower. Read more at athttp://www.boatoregon.com/OSMB/news/2010/MEd2010Rel.shtml.
Boaters of both powered and manual craft are required to purchase an AIS Prevention Permit to use their boats beginning January 1, 2010. The new fees will fund efforts to prevent invasive species from taking over our waterways. Read more at #mce_temp_url#
