We have some good news from Multnomah County regarding the landscaping at the bridge turnaround. The Adopt a Road crew took pictures of the dismal shape of the plantings and sent them to the attention of Mike Pullen. He responded that we aren’t the only ones disappointed in the result of the landscaping. They had to work with the bridge contractor and the original landscape plan (evidently without success.editorial comment) and now that the warranty period is over, they have more freedom to make some decisions about the area. I had suggested that with so many nurseries on the island that we might be able to get them involved to get this area looking a whole lot better. He said they will start with getting County staff together to discuss and then get us involved in the process as it rolls out. Any other suggestions you might have or if you would like to volunteer to be on the improvement committee, let me know. Thanks
