The Conservancy is dedicated to the preservation of island rural life, wildlife and natural recreation areas. Members defeated a proposed multimillion dollar golf course expansion and a megamarina development. They work in conjunction with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, Oregon State Parks, and Metro Parks and Greenspaces to promote natural areas, restore wetlands and improve wildlife habitat.
